At Select Surfaces, we love finding awesome local companies to partner with. On that note, we’ve decided it’s time to share the love with our new Partner Spotlight series. In our last Partner Spotlight, we highlighted the great work done by The Cabinet Store. This time, we’re giving you the inside scoop on another great local company: Gerhard’s Kitchen and Bath. Keep reading for more information about Gerhard’s Kitchen & Bath and for a peek at their work.
Gerhard’s Kitchen and Bath is located in Edina, MN and has been in business since 1940. Since 1897, the company has been a family business spanning five generations! The company is part of First Supply, which is the distribution side of the business for plumbing products. In addition to the Edina store, there are 31 other locations in 5 Midwest states. These stores also include their First Supply distribution centers and their sister company, Kohler Signature Stores. Gerhard’s Kitchen and Bath specializes in full bathroom and kitchen remodels of all sizes.
While we’re big fans of working with the team at Gerhard’s, it’s nice to know the feeling is mutual! Here’s what store manager, Cindy Thomes says about partnering with Select Surfaces:
“We chose to work with Select Surfaces because of their professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail. We love the cad drawings that are supplied for us and the customer to review. We have worked with Select Surfaces for years and totally enjoy our partnership. We believe they have our back and really work closely with our team.”
Now that you’ve gotten to know more about our partnership with Gerhard’s Kitchen and Bath, it’s time to see their work!
The homeowners behind this kitchen remodel wanted to create a custom design that was different than what their neighbors have. Originally, they had laminate countertops, which they wanted to swap out with quartz. This was especially important to them because they have two small children and love how easy quartz is to clean.
With that in mind, they chose not one, but two Cambria designs for their kitchen! The first was Carrick, which they used for the counters around the perimeter of the kitchen. Then, they used Brittanica for the kitchen island. It turned out amazing! The two quartz designs work in perfect harmony to create visual interest and dimension in their kitchen design.
We also updated their butler’s pantry. Inside, we added cabinetry which we then topped with Carrick countertops. Overall, this young couple was very fun to work with and designer, Michelle Jensen, really enjoyed helping them customize their home. Take a look at the finished design below!
