One of our goals for this year is to shine the spotlight on our fantastic team more frequently. Our staff makes Select Surfaces possible; we want to recognize their immense talent, dedication, and expertise. To kick things off, we asked our newest team member, LaRae, a few questions about her job, passions, and day-to-day work life.
What is your job title? I am an Account Representative.
What do you do for your clients? I offer Select Surfaces’ product education. I deliver samples, literature and other sales tools to my clients. I coordinate project flow for my clients and listen to their needs and figure out how to support them.
What is your education/professional background? In the past, I’ve worked for General Mills as a Field Selling Associate and Murphey’s Family Law as Legal Assistant.
How would you describe your personality in three words? I would say that I’m open-minded, flexible, adaptable, and fun. (Sorry, I cheated and gave four!)
How does your job connect to your passions – what’s your favorite part of what you do? I enjoy working hard at creating lasting relationships with my clients. I love to meet new people and learn from them!
What do you like to do in your free time? I like to spend time with my two children, family, and friends. I also enjoy cooking, traveling, going on outdoor adventures when the weather is nice.
What’s your top thing to do around town? Find new restaurants to try and parks to play at with my children!
What does the word home mean to you? To me, home is simply being close to the people that I love most.
What is your favorite spot in your home? My favorite place to be is my kitchen, cooking for my family and friends.
I wanted to thank you for the incredible staff you send out to jobs. They are always so careful, knowledgeable and personable. Yesterday the guys were in the house for 15 minutes but still brought in blankets to protect the floor. I had been doing business with a different granite fabricator and with these 2 jobs being a little challenging I am so glad I am using Cambria and Select Surfaces. I can really educate customers on the process and the rationalization of the Cambria process and cost after these 2 jobs that is for sure. I have also learned a ton.
